Happy new year. I've been extremely busy with work, so many classes and trying to have an inkling of a social life that I haven't had time to tell you about how last year was, but I do have a master post coming. In the meanwhile, this is what I've been doing.
The Legend of the Blue Sea | I really love Korean shows and this is my first time watching a fantasy show and it's so beautifully done. Being a fan of Lee MinHo I didn't need much convincing and now I'm hooked. The scenes are beautiful and the story line continues with so many twists and turns, with a comedy element + historical fiction.
The Thin Man | Last weekend, I hosted my first ever murder mystery party and so this movie was a must. I really liked the whole mystery as well as the outrageous costumes and dialogue. What a nice fun treat.
Victoria S1 | I am a sucker for anything historic and Jenna Coleman is the star of the show, so I didn't need much convincing. I recently finished watching the first season and I loved all of it. The era, the costumes, the portayal of the characters, everything was so nicely done. The only sad thing is things I so wanted to happen boviously didn't because this was based on real events and reality so often disappoints.
Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult | I really like Jodi's writing style but this book is slightly confusing because it moves within characters and timelines but the story itself is so interesting with many three dimensional characters. However, the topics discussed are a bit heavy but definitely makes you think. It's about a school shooting but also deals with suicide and parents relationships with their children.
The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin | I've lived all of my teen years being shaped by self-help book and this just called out to me. As everyone, I am also in search of happiness so this sounded perfect, plus it seemed to much more feasible than some of the soul-searching self-help books out there because I knew this book talked about things I could do within my life to add some more happiness into it, and I'm all about that. I will talk more about my journey as I do more exercises in the book.
Shape of You by Ed Sheeran | Since this song came out, I've been listening to it non-stop. It's very catchy and maybe not the most sensible song out there but it's fun to listen to so until I find another song to be obsessed about, this works, haha.
What are you currently watching, reading, and listening to?
