Weekend Reads

Literally, the last day of this year. This last week was fun.

I wore the same dress two different ways here, and here. What’s new in that huh? I shamelessly like to brag about it as if it’s a huge accomplishment. You can also vote for me, if you like my clothes, me, this blog, or the sky.

Shums has this amazing necklace. I am loving it and Iecco is doing the 30 days blog hop, so don’t forget to visit her blog, everyday.

Happy New year. I am digging the whole weekend-coming-in-two-year thing.

The Last Few Days Of 2010

So, 2010 is almost coming to an end. The days went so fast.
here are some of the things that I did/happened to me in 2010.
  • started my degree, in Marketing and Management. I am gonna be a grad in two years.
  • had my very own show, Access Bollywood for almost two months. It was good to be on Radio and talk about my favorite movie making maniacs
  • wrote scripts for and recoded like three ads. It was a huge accomplishment, since I had no experience at all.
  • was chosen as the class rep, and given responsibilty for three years. I am still having a love-hate relationship with it.
  • got perfect results in the first sem, and good results last sem. Masha Allah
  • turned legal. This was one MAJOR change, as I am now expected to behave and act like a matured adult. But I am always going to be this child-like dreamer no matter how old I get.
  • Lost my job, and got it again, and lost it again. Like a roller coaster. haha. The reason why I stay like this, is because my heart belongs there.
  • Updated the blog almost regularly, haha.
  • Won my very first prize in a giveaway. I am yet waiting for it, it’s a lovely scarf. =)
  • Went back to mom’s place for eid after like 7 years. I was very disappointed with the lack of traditions.
  • Went to dad’s place after 6 whole years. That place has changed so much.
  • Met lots of awesome people, made new friends, lost in touch with a few.
  • Had many many little great things happen that made me love life each day.
In general, it was a great year, and I am glad to have enjoyed the most of it. Hopefully, 2011 is going to be better and bigger! How was your year? Are you loving the new theme? It’s still in the making though.

Isn’t that the cutest thing you’ve heard today?

Have a happy weekend.

Hey

So, I have been MIA lately. I know.
But not to worry, I am doing completely fine despite the fact I am more or less at home, and college starts like ONE WHOLE month later. I have found a good work for myself, but it’s a secret for now.
It’s so exciting, I want to tell you but you guys will just have to wait.
Ok, I’ll give a clue. Or two.
It has something to do with what I am studying. It also involves a lot of my amateur crafting skills.
Oh wish me luck. As soon as I get it up and running, I’ll let you guys know. =D

Survey Saturday

And another survey. Hope you guys aren’t getting bored of all this. ha

dandelions: in your opinion, are they a flower or a weed?:
I think they are flowers, but I may be wrong. However, I like Dandelions.

When you bend, if someone can see your crotch, then THAT is short!

shoelaces: what color combination do you like best?:
Yellow and Black. Also Red and Pink.

braces: have you ever had them? for how long?:
I want them, but mom wouldn't’ allow me. ARGH!

I flirt sometimes. But most of the time, I am hard to get (and when I’m not, I play hard to get!) LMOA

your hair: how many colors has it been?:
Just this black/brunette.

medication: what kind do you take most often?:
Stomachache and those sweet stuff that you eat for throat pain. I hate medicine, but that sweet stuff taste so good.

Not much. Living with a doctor has its side effects.

salads: what kind is your favorite? what dressing do you use?:
I like simple carrot salads. haven’t tried that many flavors and dressings yet.

Nope. I haven’t had one. Except it still hurts when you see someone you really like with someone else.

I love them! Lemons and rihaakuru is my fav combo.

the sky: what color is it, right now?:
Kinda blue.

Books. I think they are books, or maybe laptop. My best friends are Blitz, Trinka (my phone) and books, and of course my real human friends. haha

I heard the saying that it’s dogs, but maybe it’s their phones.

9.5

Weekend Reads

Image from fantasticalfashion.

It’s the weekend, which is pretty much a weekday to me now that I’m on holiday.

Sadly, my movie marathon is going a little slow as I am still two movies and five reviews short. Meanwhile you can read my reviews about Boat Trip, We Are Family and Death at a Funeral.

Yesterday I celebrated a cousin’s birthday and it was actually fun. You can read all about it and what I wore to it. Also, I should've worn this instead.

Maeed is one of those few people I know who actually cares about the environment and does things to help make the world a better place. I recommend his blog to everyone!

This touching blog post of Xef makes me want to help little kids. Do your part too.

I can’t wait to find out what Doe is coming up with this week. She is my role model! Well, one of the few (maybe more than 10) role models that I have.

Also, last night I went out with my gang (not fmc) and we saw the Japanese festival, and later went to eat donuts. Highlight of the night: Those Japanese people singing “Malekey effadha”. Sure beats watching 30rock alone at home. =D

Have a great weekend dummies.

Dear Diary

My life has come to almost a halt. I want to do so many things, but I can’t. I don’t even know why I can’t. I know, I make no sense. I’m going bonkers, and the only thing good about it is, that all the best people are bonkers. Alice told that. To Mad hatter. So, it must be true.

I want to be able to be this person who doesn’t care about what others think. Who lives in her own fairytale. Who is happy, and who loves. I don’t know if I can ever be that person.

People say that everything happens for a reason I just find some things in my life that lacks that reason. People say that things happen, so that better things can happen. They say that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Well, my light isn’t there because my candle is not lit. That reminds me, I need to buy some candles.

The Ignore Life Phase

Sometimes I have this ignore life phase, mostly when holidays come. I have this habit of ignoring all my sms’s, calls, fb messages, tweets, etc. Mostly all forms of communication with the external world.
I also have this intention to do a complete makeover every time I return from a holiday, and mostly it always goes wrong. WHY? Because I’m not one of those horrible looking people who looks damn hot after after a makeover. (I’m not that good looking either) Maybe I am watching too many movies.
It’s that phase again, btw. I have a gazillion texts that I haven;t replied to and I only go to facebook to play this adorable game Pet Society. (Yes, you can question my age, not my intentions)
I donno what’s gonna happen next, and I don’t even care. Holidays at home is NOT good for me.

Weekend Reads

image from sabrina, WHI

Today I did laundry, watched Aisha, and spent the rest of the time sleeping and browsing net, not exactly in that order.

You may or may not know from my previous post that I’m doing a 31 day movie marathon this month. Here’s the list of movies I have handpicked to watch.

I also went to college last week to be a backup teacher. I wore a very weird dress/ensemble. You can read all about it here because I am mean like that.

Aisha is one movie I love. I want to live in her room. I also now want to garden and try my hand at match making. Read my review and know for yourself.

I was actually lookig for a redcaprtet site on Bollywood fashion (You didn’t know? I am a huge bollywood freak), and I found one a few months ago.

I would love to switch lives with this girl. She has so many dresses. aah!

Did you know about 30 for 30? Kendi started that all. She is awesome.

I can write about stuff forever and ever. But you have a life as well. So enjoy it, while I sulk in my boredom.

December!

DSCN3979

Finally, the last month of the year. I can’t believe how quickly the year went. Anyhow, there are still 31 days more to go, and I plan to cherish each day. This month, I hope to

1. Update my blog regularly

I have been pretty MIA since the holidays. Well, you can thank my wmodem for exceeding beyond my wildest nightmares and also me for being super lazy. (Please tell me there is no such thing as super lazy!)

2. Do more chores at home

Only very recently did I realize that I am no longer a child (I sometimes wish I could live one more year as a seventeen-er) and thus, I need to learn to cook. Only cook because I know how to clean (too well, thanks to OCD) and to iron and most of the perfect housewife stuff. No, I don’t have plans to get married next year. I’m just following the girl guide motto. BE PREPARED.

3. Buy more from my “Things I really need in my life” list.

It’s very long and super expensive, but whatever! (I shall stop using super as an adjective to every thing I say. Super sorry. OOPS!)

4. Read the 7 habits.

For highly effective teens. I only have one more year as a teenager, and I want to live it fully. Even if you’re not a teen, I highly recommend this book. It was my mentor when I was growing up.

5. Finish what I started

mostly the things I wanted to do this year, and didn’t do. Mend relationships and stuff.

6. Renew

The most important step is constant renewal. Improving yourself. I am now a 2.0 (I have no idea what that means anyway)

Happy last month of 2010. What are you doing this month?

PS I am also doing a movie a day marathon this month, so check out my movie blog time to time for my blah blah on the movies I watch!
