I'm slowly getting back to watching shows and movies, feels like it's been 6 months where nothing really happened but a few days ago TV Time dropped a bomb and in the moving process I realized there's so many shows I've abandoned for no reason apart from life goes on. It's time to take some steps to close some loops on that.

True Beauty | Never thought I would get back to this and at some point I stopped because I really was not vibing with the show, but a few years later, with a fresh mind, it's still kinda terrible but there are some fun bits and it's more a nostalgia for the days past that's keeping me trying to finish the last 3 episodes. I forgot how shallow this entire show was.

Not Suitable for Work | Major thanks to Munsif for introducing me to this show, he's never been wrong about a show recommendation. I immeditaly clicked with the humour of the show, it's been a while for a good sitcom and this is ticking all th right boxes for me. Plus, Avantika is great in it, and I am enjoying the younger milennial humour of the show.

Voicemails for Isabelle | I thought this movie was a romcom but the first 20 minutes really hit hard. You can't help but keep rooting for the girl. Nothing groundbreaking here but what's cinema without a little swoon, modern or not?

Katabasis by RF Kuang | I started this as a buddy read with Nasam back in June and she finished in a week and I'm still dragging (a metaphorical book because I've been reading the ebook) this around. I don't want to say I don't enjoy it, I think it's just that the book found me during a time where reading is taking more effort than I am willing to give. An entirely me problem. I am enjoying the RF Kuang-ness of it all tho.

One Day Everyone Will Have Always Been Against This by Omar El Akkad | This book I've been draggin for 6+ months because it's a hard read. In the past six months alone, the genocide continues and everything seems to go "back to normal" for everyone. It takes effort and dedication to keep the good fight and continuing to read this gives me hope but makes me so shameful at the same time, as if I've personally caused harm to people. It's heavy and I would say it should be mandatory reading for everyone, everywhere.

Gary Johnson by Calcutta Cowboy | As a fan of country music and Hindi music, this combination works perfectly for me, I love Calcutta Cowboy, a new favourite. It's got the grassy country vibes with an undercurrent desi feel to it, despite the entire song being in English.

That's just a few things keeping me entertained this month. How about you?
