Weekend Reads

Hello Friday. I have been watching Accidentally on Purpose again. I seriously recommend this series to everyone. Sure, it's a bit cheesy and a bit cliche'd but it is the funniest thing since FRIENDS that I have watched. I still haven't finished FRIENDS though. *sigh* I'm watching one episode a day to make it last forever, which is excatly what I do with chocolates too. One bite a day. So far, it has never worked cos I always end up eating the entire thing but since I can't seem to eat the FRIENDS CD, the one episode thing is working. Sadly, I'm on Season 10 now.

Moving on, blogosphere has been a little down lately. I don't really know why. Probably due to the too much football or because of that dancing show on ZTV which is awesome. Either way, I did find a few good posts like;
Carly's post about J.Crew and their amazing looks. Honestly, so sophisticated and pretty!
Makeup for girls with glasses by Keiko. As I wear glasses, I usually don't put on too much make-up and this is perfect.
Adi's posts about moving forward. She is amazing with words. I love how whimsical and magical she makes words by weaving them together.
Another post by Carly, about greatness which is an inspiring post. We're all great!
Have a great weekend guys, and don't forget to attend the Democracy Evening on Saturday night. I'm spending the week watching Hellcats, getting ready for the last semester in FMC and for starting work on Sunday and MMPRC. I'm so excited. ^^

Strike a pose

Remember how I told you about the time I modeled for a photoshoot? Well, what I didn't tell you was that it was a bridal shoot done for a friend who does some amazing work and that the photos turned out awesome  Honestly, I look at them and I'm like HOLY SHIT, IS THIS EVEN ME? But then, I remember waking up at 4 AM and going to the salon so I know it's me and not some doppelganger.

Shums, a friend that I got to know from blogosphere and twitter is a very talented person who designs hijabs with her friend on Hijabified Me and also does very elegant bridal hijabs at Shumsie's Bridal Hijabs. For her new lookbook she was looking for models and me being the crazy person I am decided that this is a perfect opportunity for me to become a model for a day, which was in bucket list and so I climbed the bandwagon. I'm glad I did, because she is extremely nice and the whole experience was wonderful. I also met some really cool people and spend a lot of the time without my glasses looking at the blurry things which looked like bokeh, ha.

For her lookbook she had the theme Something Old, Something New, Something Sparkly and Something Blue, and I was the something blue. She did my hijab, while Rizu from Leykokaa Looks did the make-up and Portrait Album took the pictures. Shums also did the hairband I'm wearing and it's so pretty I wanted to wear it forever. Honestly, look at those intricate details on the hiijab! Amazing.

Living in a big old city.

Not that Male' is that old, or big. So basically I live in a tiny not so old city but nevertheless a city. Lately life has been amazing, and busy. Mostly because I love having things to do, its what I call a fulfilling life. So, lemme show you what I have been up to.
1. Painting my nails. It's a refreshing thing and having pretty manicures is life a stamina booster. :P
Nails 1 Nails
2. Celebrating birthdays and making parcels out of used magazine pages. Someone should gimme an award already.

3. Writing letters, to myself and to my classmates. Every semester I write letters to my favorite people in class, and since this is going to be the last semester, I am thinking of writing to everyone in my original class.
Letters 2 Letters 1
4. Organizing my room and making paper stars.

5. Reading some inspiring books. The 7 habits book has been with me ever since I was a teenager and has helped me throughout the teen years and even now. I LOVE it. Normally my books are very clean but as I have used the book more than any other book, it has seen its share of damage. *sigh*
365 Days 7 Habits
and doing so many more things like fun DYM stuff and transcribing audio tapes and helping friends and so much that I can't even remember them all.-__-
